Dallas creator and entrepreneur joins leading media and communications professionals for a conversation on storytelling, pitching and the growing influence of creators.
DALLAS, TX — May 15, 2026 — Dallas-based content creator, entrepreneur and creator educator Destiny Adams took the stage at the Public Relations Society of America Dallas (PRSA Dallas) UnSummit 2026, joining media and communications leaders for a conversation about how the Creator Economy is reshaping traditional media relations.
Held at Forty50 in Addison, Texas, UnSummit brought together public relations, communications and marketing professionals across North Texas to discuss the rapidly changing communications landscape. This year's programming explored topics including social media, artificial intelligence and trust, employee voices, media relations, change management and crisis communications.
Media Relations Reimagined
Adams participated in the panel “Media Relations Reimagined: Storytelling and Pitching in a Creator Economy,”alongside Jeff Cheatham, Founder & CEO of Creative Content, LLC; Greer Christian, Managing Partner of Vigilant Management Group; and Kimberly Jones, Marketing Director, B2C at The Dallas Morning News.
The conversation explored how storytelling, pitching and audience engagement are evolving as creators become an increasingly important part of today's media landscape.
As a creator who has built a business through digital storytelling, brand partnerships and social media, Adams brought the creator perspective to a room of public relations and communications professionals.
“Creators have changed the way audiences discover businesses, products, experiences and even news,” said Adams. “Being part of this conversation gave me an opportunity to share what effective partnerships look like from the creator side and why understanding our audiences is so important.”
The panel also addressed the continued importance of trust, relevance and genuine connection as audiences increasingly consume information through creators and other digital voices. Fellow panelist Kimberly Jones later highlighted those themes as key takeaways from the discussion.
Bringing the Creator Perspective to Public Relations
Adams' participation at UnSummit reflects the growing intersection between traditional public relations and the Creator Economy.
Brands and communications professionals are increasingly working with creators as storytellers, media partners and direct connections to highly engaged communities. For Adams, having creators included in conversations about the future of media is an important part of building stronger relationships between brands, PR professionals and digital talent.
“There is so much opportunity when creators and communications professionals understand how to work together,” Adams said. “I was proud to represent the creator perspective and contribute to a conversation about where media relations is headed next.”
PRSA Dallas UnSummit 2026 featured communications leaders from across the region and focused on practical strategies for navigating today's evolving PR and marketing environment.
